About Me

Amy Hinks Wright

I have been practicing Shiatsu since 2010 and added Person Centered Counselling to my therapeutic practice in 2024.

I am an intuitive and supportive therapist. I offer a welcoming and accepting space for clients to take ownership of their healing.

I completed a three year diploma in Shiatsu at the Devon School of Shiatsu.

I completed a two year, level 5, diploma in Counselling and Counselling Skills at Exeter College.

I have worked in various fields but have always been drawn to listening, mentoring or training roles.

In my person life I have learnt to give and receive nurturing and love, which I bring into my practice.

My previous life experiences have helped me to understand how to build a strong connection with clients, with a lot of trust and safety.

I am in my early 50’s. I have two kids and a husband. We love time in nature and being adventurous. I also enjoy cooking and tending the allotment.

Both my boys are ADHD. I am also undiagnosed ADHD. We have serious amounts of Sensory Processing Disorder going on in our house as well!

This neuro-diversity, and parenting neuro-diversity, leaves me sensitive to the needs of others, compassionate, accepting and affirming.

I love being a therapist and I hope that my sessions give clients the space to be and to heal.
